Do you want to know an another mysterious spot of Japan? Yes, I have a good one to introduce you. It's the Itsukushima Shrine, a floating shrine in the ocean. Well, it's actually not floating, but sometimes Itsukushima Shrine is covered by the ocean water and sometimes not, depending on the high tide and low tide. The shrine shows completely different faces depending of the tides.
Itsukushima Shrine is located in Hiroshima of Japan, and it's an another world's cultural heritage of Japan, which set by the UNESCO. Itsukushima Shrine is build in D.C.593. Itsukushima Shrine is said as one of the three most scenic spots of Japan. Other two are Matsushima and Amanohashidate. Itsukushima Shrine is know as "Miyajima" in an another name.
At night, the shrine will be lighten up. As you can see from the photo below, it's amazingly beautiful and mysterious.
Itsukushima Shrine has wide precinct inside, and you can walk around there.
Based on the color of red and white, Itsukushima Shrine takes you to an another wonderland of Japan. Itsukushima Shrine is a popular sightseeing spot for domestic and foreign tourists.
If you've never been there, Itsukushima Shrine may be the one you don't want to miss to visit.
