Even though there are several festivals in Japan, Nebuta Festival is one of the most powerful festivals. Nebuta Festival is held in August every year in Aomori Prefecture, the north of Japan. The most remarkable point of Nebuta Festival is a variety of huge paper-mache.
This paper-mache is made of paper and wire, and lights inside. These are all 3D scales. Participants of the Nebuta Festival compete the quality, and the organizers evaluate participant's works in accordance with the evaluation criteria. Then, awards are given by the screening points.
Let's take a look the past nominated works.
