A Full Moon Night

 Today, September 8th, is the fifteenth night of a lunar month in Japan. Tonight is a night of full moon(the harvest moon). Japanese people call a lunar month's fifteenth night as "Jyugoya(means fifteenth night)," and people dedicate dumpling balls and silver grass to celebrate and to pray for a good harvest.

 In Japan, it is said that rabbit living on the moon because on the surface of the moon, a rabbit shaped pattern shown. Among the countries, there are differences what shape is shown on the moon, in Japan, it's a rabbit pounding rice cake. From this tradition, moon and rabbit are always appears together whenever the moon is the subject, and there are several the harvest moon and rabbit related products sold in stores.
